Cocktail making

Hey there,

Today´s post is my attempt of cocktail making, and sharing with you a refreshing summer cocktail recipe. I say attempt because we got a bit distracted juggling (literally).

Karen learnt something new about me and oh, we had a laugh! You can imagine how fun it was to shoot these photos, just see that big smile on my face! (Note to myself: I should buy juggling balls and learn more tricks, it makes me so happy!)

It was so fun that we completely forgot about the recipe, but I promise I will share one with you soon on the blog.

El post de hoy es un intento de compartir con vosotros una receta de un cóctel de verano. Fue un intento fallido cuando Karen me propuso jugar con algunos ingredientes para hacer fotos divertidas. Oh, no sabía qué divertido me resultaría ese reto! Karen no podía parar de reír cuando se dio cuenta de que sabía hacer malabares! Fue una sesión de fotos tan divertida, que nos olvidamos completamente de la receta, ja, ja. Pero prometo compartir una con vosotros pronto.

Monica Vinader Event

Hey there,

Today I´m here to talk you about one of my favourites jewellery brands, Monica Vinader.

I started to follow this brand right since their beginning, when they launched the Rio friendship bracelet collection. Unfortunately they no longer sell it, but I´ve got mine in orange which I love!

I was invited to this event a few months ago, but I thought it was the perfect timing to bring this up as they are having a great sales event on their website right now!

I personally would have bought pretty much everything, but i had to choose one thing and I chose the Onyx Siren Nugget ring in silver.

Hoy os hable de una de mis marcas favoritas de joyas, Monica Vinader.

Empecé a seguir esta marca desde el comienzo, cuando se popularizó su colección Rio de pulseras. Es una pena que ya no vendan esa colección, pero yo sigo usando mi friendship bracelet en plata y naranja que me encanta.

Me invitaron a este evento hace un par de meses y he pensado que era un buen momento para subir las fotos porque acaban de lanzar las rebajas en su web!

Yo me compraría toda la colección pero ese día tuve que elegir una pieza y me decanté por el anillo Siren Nugget de onyx en plata.

Rooftop Breeze

Hey there,

Happy Monday! Hope you had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the nice weather!

With the nice weather comes the rooftop season and I can´t be any more excited about this, I just love it! I love to check out the different rooftops London has to offer. Some have live music, some have gorgeous views, others are more chilled or even with a pool! So I am in a mission this summer to go to as many as possible in London!

Any recommendations?

These photos were taken at Madison, which is a restaurant and bar with a rooftop that offers incredible views of London skyline and a close-up of St. Paul´s cathedral.

Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando llega el buen tiempo es ir a rooftops. Y este verano me he propuesto ir a todas las terrazas que pueda en Londres. Se aceptan recomendaciones!

En estas fotos estoy en Madison, que es un bar y restaurante súper chulo con una terraza con vistas increíbles. Y ahora con este tiempo, estoy segura de que se va a llenar todos los días.

Dance in Burgundy

Hey there,

Hope you are well and are having a great week. Luckily is a short one for us in London, yay!

The commuter – Part II

Hey there,

Here´s the second part of the commuter look. What can I say, Karen just did too many great shoots!

The commuter

Hey there,

Happy Friday!

Hope you had a great week and have some exciting plans for the weekend. Good news is the weather will be nice, yay!

Today I´m so excited to talk you about my new wireless headphones! I used to have the regular earphones that come with your phone, and I´ve wanted to replace them with headphones for a long time, however it was not easy to find ones that I like.

One thing I was sure of is that I wanted my headphones to be wireless. I also did´t want some big and heavy headphones, because they would´t be practical and I´d look ridiculous wearing them.

Then I come across this headphones from Sudio and they were exactly what I wanted! They are wireless, not heavy, not big, and have a simple design that I just love. They are functional and pretty! What else could you ask for?

I chose the Regent model in black. White headphones look so pretty but I think they look better on blondes, not sure how they would look on me so I did´t want to take the risk. So the ones I have are black with a simple golden horizontal line on the caps. The best thing about them? You can buy extra caps with different designs, so when you are bored of your ones, you can completely change the style of your headphones just by changing the caps. I bought the black marble ones and I think they would look fantastic with my black headphones.

My me-time during the day is when I listen to music when on my commute to work or walking on the street. That´s my time to relax and think about nothing else but the music. Do you have the same ritual?

Hoy os quiero enseñar mi última adquisición que me tiene encantada!

Yo siempre había llevado los típicos auriculares que te vienen con el móvil y llevaba tiempo buscando unos buenos cascos que bloquearan el sonido, pero me costaba encontrarlos.

Tenía claro que quería que fueran sin cables y que no fueran grandes ni pesaran mucho. Buscaba funcionalidad y simplicidad. He tardado unos años en encontrarlos pero he dado con lo que quería! Estos cascos de Sudio ofrecen el sonido y el diseño que tanto buscaba.

Yo escogí el modelo Regent en negro. El blanco me parece precioso, pero siempre he pensado que queda mejor en personas rubias y que no me iba a gustar el contraste con mi pelo, así que fui a por lo seguro y elegí el color negro. Además me pareció súper chula la idea de poder cambiar tapas de los cascos! Tienen varios diseños y realmente puedes cambiar el estilo de los cascos completamente. Yo elegí los negros en diseño de mármol, que creo que combinan bien con el color negro.

Lost in the woods

Hey there,

Remember I told you on my last post about the weekend I spent on the countryside? Well, here you can read all about it now.

I spent the weekend in Haslemere, just a quick stop away from London. I took a train from Waterloo station and it took me fifty-three minutes to arrive to Haslemere.

I would recommend to go by car if possible, as you´d get the chance to move freely once there. Unfortunately I don´t drive, so that was´t an option for me.

I wanted to go away for just a weekend somewhere not far to London and easy to commute to. When I checked this place on the internet and saw all the green areas on Google maps and the national parks they´re there, I knew I had found the right place.

I stayed in a lovely eco-farm called The Barn at Roundhurst. That place was a dream with high ceilings and wooden beams. I just loved it so much, it had character and it was perfect. I´d probably describe it as high-end coziness.

And my weekend was spent between hiking on the greenest areas I´ve ever seen, having delicious food and chilling at what felt like my home. That´s my perfect weekend if you ask me!

Pasé el fin de semana en Haslemere, que está apenas a una hora en tren de Londres. Yo recomendaría ir con coche preferiblemente porque así te puedes mover con mayor libertad, pero yo elegí la zona en parte porque estaba bien comunicada.

Me alojé en la eco-granja deluxe The Barn at Roundhurst. Techos altos, vigas de madera…, era el lugar perfecto. Realmente sentías ese confort hogareño con detalles especiales, mucha luminosidad y espacios amplios.

Y mi finde se resumió entre hacer caminatas rodeada de verde y más verde, disfrutar de la comida británica y descansar en la que sentí como mi casa ese fin de semana. Un finde bastante guay, no creéis?

Farewell to Winter

Hey there,

Hope you had a fantastic weekend. I spent mine in the countryside in a lovely farm in the middle of the woods and I will tell you all about it very soon.

Now, let´s celebrate the heat that will hit London this week, finally!

I love winter outfits because you get to play with coats and accessories like hats, scarf, etc., but let´s face it, who doesn´t like to wear a light dress and have their toes move freely in a pair of sandals? Not me…

These photos are from a couple of weeks around St. Paul´s cathedral. My friend and photographer Karen Lohana, who did this shoot, came with this amazing emerald green faux fur coat. When I saw it I said: ´OK, I know what we are going to be shooting today…´. Isn’t it gorgeous? It was so warm and I just wanted to snuggle in it all day.

I´ve never had a faux fur coat but they have been a big trend this last season. Do you like this trend? Are you a faux fur lover?

Espero que hayáis tenido en finde genial. Yo hice una escapada al sur de Inglaterra, a una preciosa granja en medio del bosque. Pronto compartiré más detalles en el blog.

Ahora vamos a celebrar por fin que esta semana llega el buen tiempo a Londres!

A mí me encantan los outfits de invierno, porque puedes jugar mucho con los complementos como gorros, bufandas, etc., y además, una de mis prendas favoritas son los abrigos. Un abrigo clásico, con un buen corte y diseño, puede vestir cualquier look.

Estas fotos las hicimos en St. Paul´s. Cuando vi a mi amiga y fotógrafa Karen Lohana, con este precioso abrigo, lo primero que pensé fue: ´vale, ya sé que look vamos a fotografiar hoy´. Me enamoró al instante. No solo el color, sino el tacto y lo calentito que es.

Yo nunca he tenido abrigos faux fur pero sé que han sido una gran tendencia la temporada pasada. Quien sabe, quizás en la próxima temporada del año que viene acabe comprándome uno si es como el de Karen.

OneOcean Club Barcelona

Hey there,

Today we are going back in time to remember the last time I was in Barcelona. It was a weekend getaway to visit some friends who live there. I literally got off the plane on a Friday night, took a quick shower and got dressed to go out. We had dinner at OneOcean Club Barcelona, which was extremely good!

There were scallops on the menu so of course I had to have those as a starter. After that I had some sushi and I topped it off with brownie. Everything was superb.

We also had a few drinks there and then head to the W Hotel to enjoy the views and party a bit.

If you are going to Barcelona, I would highly recommend you to try this place. From the food, to the music, the service and the aesthetic of the place, OneOcean Club won´t disappoint!

Hoy echo de menos mi tierra, España, y mis amigos, y recuerdo lo bien que lo pasé un fin de semana del año pasado en Barcelona, visitando a dos amigas. Fue llegar un viernes después de trabajar, y ducharme y arreglarme súper rápido para salir!

Cenamos en OneOcean Club, donde ninguna de las tres habíamos estado antes y fue espectacular.

Siempre que hay vieiras en el menú, no me puedo resistir y siempre acabo pidiendo eso como entrantes, estaban riquísimas! Después pedí algo de sushi y rematamos con un brownie delicioso.

Después de la cena, aprovechamos para tomar unas copas en la terraza, antes de ir al Hotel W a seguir de fiesta y disfrutar la vista desde lo alto.

Si tenéis planeado un viaje a Barcelona pronto, definitivamente os recomiendo visitar OneOceanClub, os encantará! Desde su comida, el servicio, la música y la estética del lugar, todo está cuidado hasta el mínimo detalle.
